The Saxony biotech cluster has been seeded back in 2001 by foundation the BIOTEC institute of Technische Universität Dresden and the Max-Planck-Institute for Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden. Since then, dozens of research institutes and Startups were founded and risen at the Life Science Campuses of Leipzig and Dresden. More than 15,500 employees and an annual turnover of almost two billion Euros are bottom line of this successful offensive – a story of many coordinated initiatives and we are pleased to join this network!
